Social Worker & Psychotherapist (Chinese and Hong Kong New Immigrants & International Students)

 

Salary: £39,000 per year
Annual Leave: 15 days

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated social worker & psychotherapist to support Chinese and Hong Kong new immigrants and international students. The ideal candidate will provide essential social work services, psychotherapy assessments and treatments, and community education while working closely with government and community organisations.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide social work services and connect clients with community resources.
• Conduct psychotherapy assessments and treatments tailored to client needs.
• Organise and lead community education and support programs.
• Signpost individuals to appropriate mental health and social services.
• Collaborate with government agencies and community organizations.
• Conduct community needs assessments and research.
• Maintain accurate clinical reports and case documentation.

 

Qualifications & Experience
• Master’s degree in Social Work and Psychology.
• Ten years of professional experience, preferably in a community or clinical setting in Hong Kong, Canada, China and the UK
• Experience working with adults, seniors, and children/youth with mental health challenges.
• Registered member of social work and psychotherapist professional organisations in Hong Kong, Canada, and China.
• Knowledge of mental health legislation relevant to practice.
• Strong communication, assessment, and case management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting vulnerable individuals.
• A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
